Welcome to Basilicata<\/strong>, the land where you can experience the thrill of flying as a bird\u00a0at over 100 miles per hour, between the Lucania mountains: il volo dell’angelo (“the flight of the angel”).<\/p>\n

You\u00a0begin with a funny walk that winds through misterious and amazing mountains. You end up admiring the surrounding area from an unusual point of view: a cable suspended hundreds of feet in height.<\/p>\n

The flight takes about 1 minute and a half , hanging from a steel wire. Linked by a harness in complete safety, you glide lying along a route\u00a0through\u00a0the clouds. The only of its kind in Italy and in the world.<\/p>\n

You\u00a0start from Pietrapertosa or Castelmezzano: here come the two flight stations from which you can either leave. You can visit the two amazing villages, eat special food, relax and then return to the base point again from the top, enjoying a view usually reserved the birds.<\/p>\n

In fact, once you\u00a0arrive in the finish area of the opposite village, you\u00a0will be back with your feet on the ground and\u00a0you\u00a0can reach the center of the village, and than to the other one\u00a0thanks to a Shuttle service.<\/p>\n

The first basis, called San Martino<\/strong>, starts from Pietrapertosa<\/strong> (starting altitude 1020 meters) and arrives in Castelmezzano (arrival altitude 859 meters) after covering 1415 meters, reaching a maximum speed of 110 km\/h.<\/p>\n

The “Peschiera” line<\/strong>, however, allow you to jump from Castelmezzano<\/strong> (starting altitude 1019 m) \u200b\u200band arrive in Pietrapertosa (arrival altitude 888 meters) touching 120 km\/h over a distance of 1452 meters.<\/p>\n

It’s up to you to choose which of the two beautiful villages to visit first, what marvelous houses set among the rocks to discover and taste typical products.<\/p>\n

The idea is to start by saying travelers an innovative use of environmental assets; with this emotional experience you can recreate an authentic relationship with nature and with a unique landscape, discovering the true soul of the South Italy.<\/p>\n
