Why do not we take all these tricks during a travel? Yes, we can save the planet even if we are on holiday. In particular, <strong>72%<\/strong> of them believe in the need of <strong>eco-sustainability<\/strong> while traveling. Their popularity is growing up reaching the <strong>73% of all travelers<\/strong>. In 2016, only the <strong>62%<\/strong> of travelers used to choose an <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2020\/03\/ecohotels-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>eco-hotel<\/strong><\/a>. In the 2017 65%, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2017\/03\/tourists-prefer-eco-friendly-hotels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>2018 increased to 68%<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, what really worries is the number of people that do not know about the <strong>ecological quality label<\/strong> for facilities. It is interesting, the request of the 37% of people that are not able to organize an eco-travel but would like to know about some identification standards for <strong>eco-sustainability of travel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Some difficulties<\/h2>\n<p>The sector of green tourism has some<strong> difficulties<\/strong> to solve. These difficulties are recognized by travelers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI do not know how to make my vacation more sustainable\u201d (37% of interviewed people)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cOther non-sustainable travels\u2019 offers are more convenient\u201d (34%)<\/li>\n<li>\u201c<strong>Extra expenses<\/strong> of a sustainable journey are too high for me\u201d (36%)<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI want to understand <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/plan-green-vacation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>what I can do<\/strong><\/a> to improve the my sustainability on holiday\u201d (50% the most encouraging data).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Around the half of interviewed people is conscious of the difficulty to keep <strong>an eco-standard<\/strong> on vacation. But everything is coming back to normal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booking.com research<\/strong> notices the <strong>96% of travelers<\/strong> admit the importance of <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/guide-sustainable-travel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>sustainable travel<\/strong><\/a>, and the 76% wants to make more sustainable choices in future.<\/p>\n<p>An interesting aspect is the number of people that associate the green tourism to <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2019\/12\/no-to-plastic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>the reduction of consumption and recycle of plastic.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The research is useful to understand what can get better in the eco-travel sector. We are trying to create a <strong>universal labeling<\/strong> to ensure accommodation reliability and sustainability. The purpose is to highlight the green practices such as: <strong>waste disposal, water usage or energy saving.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>2. Around 47% of people in the last year chose to move by <strong>train<\/strong> rather than by car.<\/p>\n<h3>3. It is noted that most of the accommodations that avoid single-use plastic seems to be very important for travelers.<\/p>\n<p>One in five travelers, considers the idea of sustainable travel to the reduction of plastic use, and <strong>half of them<\/strong> admit using a <strong>reusable bottle<\/strong> for the trip.
