Also, it is the perfect solution for difficult times<\/strong>: this is the best way to escape<\/strong> your routine. So, wheter you just need some time for yourself or you need to care about your mental and phisical health<\/strong>, walking<\/strong> is what you need to do.<\/p>\n

Follow our path through the Alta Via Dei Parchi<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0the highest and longest trail of the Italian Apennines<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0As a matter of fact, this route crosses 8 Natural Parks and Protected Areas<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The route is made of 500 kilometers among incredible landscapes in the provinces of Parma<\/a>, Reggio Emillia, Modena, Bologna, Ravenna, Forl\u00ec-Cesena and Rimini, to Carpegna, in the Marche<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alta Via Dei Parchi: let’s start discovering the first 5 stages!<\/h2>\n

There are 27 stages<\/strong> in this trail:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. From Berceto to Lago Santo Parmense: <\/strong>a\u00a022 km<\/strong> itinerary that goes from the cultivated hills<\/strong> of the first Apennines of Parma<\/strong> to some breathtaking high altitude landscapes. What’s more, at the end of the 9 hours walk you’ll see the magnificent view of Lake Santo<\/strong> – the largest natural lake in the whole northern Apennines<\/strong> – with its crystal clear waters and beech forests that embrace it.\n

  2. From Santo Parmense Lake to Pratospilla:this is a\u00a0long walk of about 15 km<\/strong> along the “Crinale dei laghi”<\/b>. Here, you’ll find glacial valleys<\/strong>, suggestive rocky crests<\/strong> and prairies<\/strong>. In addition, the route crosses the National Park of the Emilian Apennines<\/a> <\/strong>and the Regional Park of\u00a0 Cedra and Parma<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. From Pratospilla to Passo del Cerreto:\u00a0<\/strong>almost 16 km<\/strong> of Itinerary through the Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>Moreover, here you can stay in the ancient mill of the Briganti di Cereto<\/strong> and discover the history of this beautiful village<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. <\/span>From Passo del Cerreto: <\/strong>this route is easier\u00a0than the previous ones (10 km of walk, accessible in 5 hours). What’s more, here there are breathtaking views of the Apuan Alps<\/strong> on one side, and on the other there is the Padano landscape<\/strong> with the Bismantova Stone<\/strong>.\n

  5. From Passo Pradarena to Lama Lite: <\/strong>With its 1600 meters of altitude<\/strong>, this is the highest stage of the entire path.<\/li>\n
  6. Lama Lite to San Pellegrino in Alpe:\u00a0<\/strong>The old nursing home of San Pellegrino in Alpe<\/strong>, hospitable for travelers and pelegrini, will welcome you in this stage.<\/li>\n
  7. San Pellegrino in Alpe to Lago Santo Modenese (Modena): <\/strong>follow this trail, so you’ll find the highest mountains of Modena<\/strong>. In addition, you will discover the famous destination of Santo Lake<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  8. From Lago Santo Modenese a all’Abetone (Firenze):\u00a0<\/strong>very fascinating stage for its landscapes.<\/span>In the valley of the Sestaione<\/strong> you can see the most enchanting forest of the Alta Via<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. From Abetone al Lago Saffaiolo: <\/strong>panoramic walk that leads you to two of the most famous places of the northern Apennines.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. From<\/strong>\u00a0Scaffaiolo Lake to Rifugio Monte Cavallo:\u00a0<\/strong>Last stage where the discover\u00a0<\/span>of the Reno Valley<\/strong> begins.\n

  11. From\u00a0Rifugio Monte Cavallo a Poranceto:\u00a0<\/strong>this is the longest stage of the Alta Via<\/strong>; so,\u00a0<\/span>it would be convenient to stop for the night on the shores of Suviana Lake or Badi<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Poranceto to Boccadirio:\u00a0<\/strong>Going up from Poranceto<\/strong>, stay on the side of the Brasimone<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>Here, you will find beautiful views of the lake.<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Boccadirio to Alpe di Monghidoro:\u00a0<\/strong>After leaving the valley bottom, go up the right side until you get to the buildings of Ca ‘di Barba.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. Alpe di Monghidoro to Le Selve:\u00a0<\/strong>this stage is not that hard to walk. In addition, it boasts some of the most beautiful views.<\/li>\n
  15. Le Selve to Tossignano: <\/strong>Some beautiful v<\/strong>ineyards<\/strong> will follow while you’ll walk this stage.\u00a0<\/span>In addition, there are fantastic views of the Campiuno chestnut grove<\/strong> and the chalk cliffs.<\/span> At the end, you will find the ancient village of Tossignano<\/strong>.\n

  16. From<\/strong>\u00a0Tossignano to Carn\u00e8:<\/strong>\u00a0this\u00a0is the most unique stage of the route.<\/span> In fact, it allows you to discover the whole ridge of the Vena del Gesso<\/strong>.<\/span> At the end of this stage, you’ll walk next among groves<\/strong>, orchards<\/strong> and vineyards<\/strong> until you reach the entrance of the Carn\u00e8 Park<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  17. From Carn\u00e8 to Marradi:\u00a0<\/strong>From Parco Carn\u00e8<\/strong> go up to the asphalt road. So,\u00a0<\/span>continue following the hilly landscape characterized by pine trees and the silvery spots of the olive groves.<\/span><\/li>\n
  18. From<\/strong>\u00a0Marradi to Lago di Ponte:\u00a0<\/strong>this path is quite easy and it leads to the Foreste Casentinesi Park<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  19. From\u00a0Lago di Ponte to San Benedetto in Alpe \/ Eremo dei Toschi: <\/strong>Break time. This path will take you to San Benedetto<\/strong>, where there is the homonymous Benedictine abbey<\/strong> of the eleventh century, founded by Saint Romunaldo.<\/li>\n
  20. From\u00a0San Benedetto in Alpe \/ Eremo dei Toschi to Castagno d’Andrea:\u00a0<\/strong>Follow the path that goes up to the valley of Fosso dell’Acquacheta<\/strong>. As a result, the views of the river will be lovely.\n

  21. From Castagno d’Andrea to Campiglia:\u00a0<\/strong>After the highest mountains of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines<\/strong>, you will cross stretches of woods.<\/span>\u00a0As a matter of fact, they will give you an idea of the successive stages which are characterized by beautiful forests<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  22. From Campiglia to Camaldoli:\u00a0<\/strong>Walk along the ridge that overlooks the Reserve of Sassofratino. As matter of\u00a0 fact, he’s the one who guards the most beautiful forests<\/strong> of the park.<\/li>\n
  23. From Camaldoli to Badia Prataglia: <\/strong>Here there aren’t many panoramic landscapes\u00a0but you will walk entirely\u00a0 among the forests. What’s more, a<\/span>t the end you reach the refuge Cotozzo<\/strong>, in case you are tired or you need something.<\/span><\/li>\n
  24. From Badia Prataglia to La Verna:\u00a0<\/strong>At the end of this path you’ll cross the ancient road that goes up from La Beccia<\/strong>, primary pedestrian access to the monastic city: along this street San Francesco<\/strong> went up to the mountain for the first time.\n

  25. From\u00a0La Verna to Rifugio Biancaneve al Fumaiolo:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>This stage could be a little bit long but it’s really evocative<\/strong>. As a matter of fact, you’ll walk along forests and then you’ll find some beautiful landscapes.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  26. From Rifugio Biancaneve to Fumaiolo a Bascio:\u00a0<\/strong>8 hours<\/strong> of walking through beautiful places, unspoilt nature and ancient villages. As a matter of fact, y<\/span>ou can divide the itinerary into two shorter stages if you decide to spend the night in the beautiful village of Gattara<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  27. From\u00a0Bascio to the Eremo “Madonna del Faggio”:\u00a0<\/strong>A wonderful view of the Sassi Simone and Simoncello<\/strong> is waiting for you. Also, f<\/span>rom this evocative environment, you can see the Carpegna Mountain<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
