The MuSe is the <strong>first Italian sustainable museum<\/strong> that received this certification. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span lang=\"en\">Construction techniques and <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2019\/12\/home-winterization-tips\/\"><strong>energy saving<\/strong><\/a>, as well as a wide use of <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2019\/09\/turning-to-renewable-energy\/\"><strong>renewable sources<\/strong><\/a>, are fundamental aspects for the museum. The choice of <strong>eco-sustainable materials<\/strong> and the methods of construction were also very important, as well as the design of transport services that discouraged the use of private vehicles in favor of <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2016\/09\/sustainable-mobility\/\"><strong>green mobility<\/strong><\/a>. Moreover,\u00a0the system of installations for the operation of the building is centralized and mechanized. A sophisticated system of curtains controlled by temperature sensors is managed automatically to reduce irradiation in the summer hours and facilitate it during the winter days. Natural lighting and ventilation, in some spaces, allow the <strong>reduction of consumption<\/strong> and the creation of more comfortable environments. The plant system also makes use of measures that increase forms of energy saving. In fact, the cistern system for <strong>r<\/strong><strong>ainwater recovery<\/strong> can achieve water savings five times larger than other similar buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>2. Its collection is extremely rich and varies from Futurism to Metaphysical Art, from &#8220;Arte Povera&#8221; to Conceptual Art, up to the most recent experiments. In addition, the museum organizes large thematic exhibitions every year. This was the first zero impact conference in the Mart museum. Since that date, both companies and public bodies have been able to organize\u00a0<strong>CO2-zero<\/strong>\u00a0events and conferences within the Mart. The emissions produced for the realization of the conferences have been totally compensated with <strong>reforestation projects<\/strong> that have both social and environmental value. The Mart was therefore the first museum in Italy to offer this service, with the intention of transmitting a signal of attention to <strong>environmental issues<\/strong>, also with regard to concrete daily choices at a meeting or an event. The Mart not only compensates for emissions but promotes suggestions of sustainable good practices. For example, one of the suggestions is to reach the museum by train.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>3. The <strong>Plessi Museum<\/strong> was inaugurated in <strong>2013<\/strong> and is the first example in Italy of a <strong>museum on the highway<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span lang=\"en\">The architectural complex, covering a surface area of \u200b\u200b13,000 square meters, represents a formal and functional experimentation for transforming a traditional rest area into a <strong>place dedicated to culture<\/strong>. The museum hosts videos, drawings, and installations by <strong>Fabrizio Plessi<\/strong>, one of the leading figures of <strong>international contemporary art<\/strong>. Explora&#8217;s mission is to: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\"><span lang=\"en\">encourage the natural desire for learning that is in every child with stimulating and entertaining proposals for different age groups; <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\"><span lang=\"en\">offer parents and children the opportunity to live together this particular and fascinating experience, which allows the child to grow and the adult to become a child again. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">For Explora, attention to environmental sustainability is a fundamental aspect. It is an interactive exhibit\u00a0to discover and experience the preservation of the marine environment. The path stems from the desire to promote the <strong>theme of sustainable fishing<\/strong> by raising children&#8217;s awareness in an innovative way, through the learning-by-doing approach.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to teach children the three fundamental principles of the <strong>MSC (Marine Stewardship Council)<\/strong>, the most important organization in the field of protection of marine ecosystems and sustainable fishing. According to the three principles, fishing should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>leave enough fish in the sea to allow them to reproduce, so that the activity can continue over time;<\/li>\n<li>be carried out in such a way as to <strong>minimize its impact<\/strong>, allowing marine flora and fauna to thrive;<\/li>\n<li>be managed by companies responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this way, children can learn through play about the need to safeguard fish stocks, the <strong>impact on the marine ecosystem<\/strong> and compliance with regulations.<\/p>\n<h2>5. In this territory we find the <strong>Ecomuseum Terra del Castelmagno<\/strong>, a museum born in <strong>2007<\/strong> with the desire to restore ancient connecting routes, highlight places, enhance and discover traditional activities. This territory is little known but has expertly enhanced and integrated the places of production of the cheese that have characterized the economy of the area. The <strong>link with the territory<\/strong>\u00a0therefore comes with pride and awareness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><span lang=\"en\">In addition to all this, it is possible to go through various\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2018\/07\/bike-nature-and-family\/\"><strong>bicycle<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0routes, which wind through the immaculate agricultural environment of the valley between orchards, pastures, chestnut woods, dandelion meadows to discover other places of memory and production, such as <strong>Cascina Rosa<\/strong>, traditionally linked to the silkworm and dedicated to the production of organic honey.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>6. The view from the building is breathtaking and the gaze sweeps in all four cardinal directions. On the contrary, it tries to make the most of the existing infrastructure throughout the year.
