As a matter of fact, this village occupies the <strong>southern part<\/strong> of the basaltic plateau of <strong>Abbasanta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it is surrounded by <strong>cork trees<\/strong>, <strong>olive groves,<\/strong> and <strong>vineyards<\/strong>.\u00a0During the Middle Ages, the small village was the main center of the ancient region named <strong>Guilcer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Paulilatino boasts unspoiled views and a lot of prehistoric evidence: there are <strong>110 Nuragic sites<\/strong>, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sardegnaturismo.it\/en\/explore\/sanctuary-santa-cristina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sanctuary of Santa Cristina<\/a> (XII-VIII century BC). Therefore, it is a magical place full of stories, of scents of home-made cakes in the air, of the sounds of ringing bells on holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s discover together the incredible story of Bisos and its way to welcome its guests.<\/p>\n<h2>Bisos, ancestral home restored to revive Paulilatino<\/h2>\n<p>Bisos, this <strong>&#8216;800s residence<\/strong> belonging to the <strong>Urgu Family<\/strong> for almost <strong>200<\/strong> years, rises in a green environment.<\/p>\n<p>At first, it has been restored with advanced <strong>green building techniques<\/strong>, in an <strong>ecological<\/strong> and <strong>sustainable<\/strong> way.\u00a0Consequently, these ecological techniques and materials contributed to make the building more functional and with higher performances. Each room took its name from the <strong>names of colors<\/strong> in the Sardinian language.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, they&#8217;re all embellished with <strong>painted ceilings<\/strong> and <strong>special floors<\/strong> dating back to the first decades of the &#8216;900. In one room you can find some <strong>bricks<\/strong> from 1860, the first industrial products coming from <strong>Marseilles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Sardinian culture inspired the furniture. For example, the handcrafted curtains or the colorful wools around the headboards of the bed.<\/p>\n<p>The bedspreads are made of <strong>orbace wool<\/strong>, as well as the blankets, still used today to keep the temperature high while making homemade bread. Moreover, you&#8217;ll get in touch with its ancient tradition and its several stories.<\/p>\n<h2>An eco-friendly accommodation<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re <strong>green travelers<\/strong> and you want to reduce your <strong>negative footprint<\/strong> on holidays, Bisos is the perfect place.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The structure has <strong>insulation<\/strong> with <strong>wood fiber<\/strong>, <strong>lime plasters<\/strong>, <strong>wooden windows<\/strong> equipped with glass to prevent overheating, the thermal system that transmits heat and cold through the floor, the ceiling and the walls.<\/li>\n<li>Bathrooms have <strong>water-saving taps<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The structure uses only <strong>natural detergents.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In addition, the structure uses only <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2020\/02\/good-green-habits-save-planet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LED bulbs<\/a> for lighting and the whole system has sensors for <strong>automatic switching off.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the near future, a <strong>photovoltaic system<\/strong> on the roof will produce almost all the energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-48258 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/sb.ecobnb.net\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/ab1aa1259896d945b30d723f9532d5dac7cba9d3.jpeg\" alt=\"Bisos\" width=\"770\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>The &#8220;Albergo Diffuso&#8221;, an innovative concept of hospitality<\/h2>\n<p>Bisos uses the &#8220;<strong>Albergo Diffuso<\/strong>&#8220;, an Italian concept of hospitality on-trend on the tourism market: <strong>Francesco Urgu<\/strong>, bio architect and creator of the Bisos project, wanted to involve the whole community.<\/p>\n<p>Paulilatino and its surroundings are full of cultural, <strong>archeological<\/strong> and <strong>natural resources.<\/strong> Consequently, that&#8217;s what makes this place perfect for <strong>green travelers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On one hand, Bisos aims to suggest an idea of <strong>accommodation<\/strong> which involves all the inhabitants; on the other hand, they want to give their guests the opportunity to discover the <strong>everyday reality<\/strong> of the place and its <strong>authentic lifestyle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The idea of <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/sustainable-tourism-meaning-potential\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>sustainable tourism<\/strong><\/a> was what inspired <strong>Francesco Urgu<\/strong> to create this project. The first step to involve the whole community is to use <strong>widespread catering<\/strong>. There&#8217;s no restaurant here. As a result, guests can have lunch or dinner at local houses. As a matter of fact, Paulilatino saw a higher number of travelers who wanted to discover the village and its <strong>beautiful landmarks<\/strong>.
