She found out these places almost by accident. As a child, the Russians seizured the private family property and in 1968 she left Czechoslovakia. In the late 1970s she was convinced that the Soviet bloc would also absorb Italy. At the time we had an apartment with over 100 m2 of private garden near the central station of Milan. She fearfully sold everything and sent the money to Germany. When she realized that nothing she feared would happen, she placed an ad on <strong>Secondamano<\/strong> looking for a house with a small garden on the outskirts of Milan.\u00a0What they offered was not on the outskirts of Milan and was a little more than a garden (8 hectares!).\u00a0Intrigued, she went to see the place and fell in love with it instantly.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30390\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-1-870x490.jpg\" alt=\"Eco-farmhouse Valtidone Verde\" width=\"870\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-1-870x490.jpg 870w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-1-570x320.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>From house to agritourism<\/h4>\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><em><span lang=\"en\"><img class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-30416\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/CaseggiatoComera.jog_.jpeg\" alt=\"Valtidone Verde how it was\" width=\"236\" height=\"242\" \/>When they started renovating the house, they realized that being centuries-old, it had no foundations and the walls were dry. So, they kept the perimeters and rebuilt almost everything, while maintaining the <strong>thick stone walls<\/strong> that give that natural fresh air during the summers. By rebuilding it from scratch, my mom created a series of guest rooms that were independent and totally autonomous, which proved to be very useful when she decided to open a <strong>farmhouse<\/strong>. We installed a <strong>heating system<\/strong> that is powered by <strong>solar thermal<\/strong> and a <strong>heating<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>fireplace<\/strong>. <strong>Photovoltaics<\/strong> already existed and we have enhanced <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/reduce-water-consumption\/\"><strong>rainwater collection<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>composting<\/strong>, <strong>flow reducers<\/strong> and <strong>LED lights<\/strong> as well as many other small precautions (we have the ecological certificate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/2019\/11\/italian-cities-eco-attitude\/\"><strong>Legambiente<\/strong><\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_30393\" class=\"thumbnail alignnone\"><img class=\"size-large wp-image-30393\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-5-870x490.jpg\" alt=\"Pool\" width=\"870\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-5-870x490.jpg 870w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/03\/s2-5-570x320.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><div class=\"caption\">Pool<\/div><\/div>\n<h3 id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\"><span lang=\"en\">What do guests appreciate the most during their stay at Valtidone Verde? <\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><em>The beauty and <strong>tranquility<\/strong> of the place, the authenticity of the territory, a northern Tuscany not yet so exploited. Also, another thing that our customers appreciate a lot is the opportunity of having Friday night for free. We are Sabbath keepers Christians which means that from Friday sunset to Saturday Sunset I am not cleaning the rooms or serving breakfast. We, therefore, decided to offer those lodging on Saturday night to check-in Friday afternoon if they may for free. And customers love this option.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\"><span lang=\"en\">Which green itineraries in the surroundings do you recommend? <\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\"><em><span lang=\"en\">There are really so many options, such as\u00a0<strong>trekking<\/strong> routes,\u00a0<strong>castles<\/strong>, <strong>spas<\/strong>, <strong>national parks<\/strong>, <strong>visits to producers<\/strong>, <strong>horse riding<\/strong> through woods and vineyards and much
