With Ecobnb<\/strong> we\u00a0join\u00a0#FridaysForFuture,\u00a0<\/strong>the third global climate march<\/strong>, held worldwide on Friday 27 September 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the morning of September 27, the offices of Ecobnb will be closed. We participate in the climate strike<\/strong>\u00a0to draw attention to the global crisis<\/strong> and the urgency of doing something to stop it.<\/p>\n

Our presence on the planet is becoming unsustainable<\/strong>, due to the loss of biodiversity, the destruction of ecosystems, permanent changes in the climate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are facing a point of no return. It’s been talked about for years, but now it’s time to act!<\/p>\n

#FridaysForFuture:\u00a0join the Global Climate Strike\u00a0to save the Planet

It all started in 2018, when Greta Thunberg<\/strong><\/a>, a 16-year-old Swedish girl, decided to go to school every Friday. Since then he has been demonstrating in front of the Swedish Parliament to ask his government for a concrete commitment<\/strong> to combat the climate emergency<\/strong> and to respect the threshold of 1.5 degrees. In fact, beyond this threshold, the IPCC has calculated that dangerous and non-reversible mechanisms for raising temperatures would be triggered.<\/p>\n

But Greta is not the only one. Over the past three years, protest movements<\/strong> have been launched across the globe every Friday, in front of local and national institutions.<\/p>\n

It’s time to contribute to everyone!<\/p>\n

  1. We have no more time<\/strong>. Each of us in Europe emits an average of 9 tons of CO2 each year.<\/strong> A very high amount of greenhouse gases, caused by our unsustainable lifestyle<\/strong>: from animal protein-based nutrition<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to the way of living and traveling (let’s think of the airplane and cruise ships<\/a><\/strong>). We can emit 100 tons of CO2 each before reaching the notorious 1.5 degrees of average temperature increase. Going forward at this rate, we will reach this threshold in just 33 years!<\/li>\n
  2. Glaciers are melting<\/strong><\/a> faster than we could have imagined. The Mont Blanc glacier drops 70 cm every day. The average temperature in Italy has already risen by 1.58 degrees. From 30% to 50% of the southern Italian territory is at risk of desertification. Going on like this, in just 100 years 33 Italian cities are likely to be attached.<\/li>\n
  3. In 10 years, when we all suffer even more from natural disasters, what excuse will we have for doing nothing to save the planet<\/strong>, the only natural eco-system in which we can live?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
