If so, you ought to know that even in<strong> Italy<\/strong>, and maybe not far from where you live, there are plenty of <strong>natural pools<\/strong>\u00a0where you can enjoy the peacefulness of the entourage, surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n<p>In the book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibs.it\/wild-swimming-italia-alla-scoperta-libro-michele-tameni\/e\/9788897299790\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cWild Swimming Italia\u201d<\/a>, <em>Michele Tameni<\/em> told his readers about these unique spots, gathering them all together: natural spas, waterfalls and beaches belonging too big lakes. Here you got a selection of 10 natural pools, which are going to leave you speechless. Some are certainly well-known and kind of crowded, some more are almost desert but not less majestic than the others.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Natural tanks in Bidente di Pietrapazza, Emilia-Romagna<\/h2>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Meravigliosa localit\u00e0 naturale sul Bidente di Pietrapazza\" width=\"1170\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aSJ6ISsnysI?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/ecobnb.com\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>From the small village of <strong>Santa Sofia<\/strong>, the beauty of the <strong>National Park of the Casentino forest<\/strong> can be seen, a UNESCO heritage. You can go through the valley of the<strong> Bidente torrent<\/strong>, a natural jewel, the destination for kayak lovers, and you can finally reach this beautiful place in the <em>Pietrapazza valley.<\/em> Over the years the river has dug all the way along the valley, leaving bare rocks and creating <strong>small waterfalls<\/strong> and each one of them has his own pool. There, you will find beaches where you could sunbathe, <strong>bathing ponds<\/strong> and rocks from where you could also dive.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> These bathing natural pools are in <strong>Poggio alla Lastra<\/strong>, in the municipality of Bagno di Romagna. Here you have the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Bidente+di+Pietrapazza\/@43.8853442,11.8981954,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x132b7a7b547f1603:0xbf28e23f6f2056fa!8m2!3d43.8853442!4d11.9003841\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0position in Google Maps.<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Where you can go and sleep in a \u201cgreenly&#8221; way:<\/strong> only 10 km far from the valley, in <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.it\/IT-forli-cesena\/appartamento\/il-vecchio-comune-guest-house\/Ggr69\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cIl Vecchio Comune guest house\u201d<\/a>, in the city center of Santa Sofia, not so far from the natural park. Two flats with kitchens were built in the old Town Hall of the municipality.<\/p>\n<h2>2. It is a <strong>thermal spring<\/strong> that has been documented\u00a0since the Medieval era, as a way of point of the Francigena Way and mentioned in Dante\u2019s Divine Comedy.<br \/>\nAs a matter of fact, <strong>Bullicame<\/strong> means \u201cnatural source of boiling water\u201d. The water comes out at a temperature of 58\u00b0C and thanks to several small canals it gets to some bigger basins which are carved into the rock, where the water gets a little bit colder.<br \/>\nIt is a public place, but with no services at all, so that we do suggest you bring something that may help you to deal with the sun as no natural hedging can be found.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> we are in the periphery of Viterbo, in Bagni di Viterbo, there you have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/42%C2%B025'14.5%22N+12%C2%B004'26.8%22E\/@42.4218214,12.0732074,553m\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d42.4207!4d12.0741?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">position in Google Maps<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Where you can go and sleep in a \u201cgreenly\u201d way:<\/strong> as soon as you get out of the city center of Viterbo, you will find a <a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/IT-viterbo\/bed-breakfast\/country-house-ecosostenibile\/6BmN5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sustainable Country House<\/a>, where every single detail is thought to be respectful of the environment. It is one of the wildest places in Valle d\u2019Aosta. The torrent, that receives its water from the huge overhanging valley, has a big basin and for the majority of its way it is not possible to take a bath, you can do it only if you have the right canoeing equipment.<br \/>\nHowever, some waterfalls have created the largest and safest basins that amaze the visitors for the <strong>clarity of the waters<\/strong> and the shades that enliven the iron-rich rocks from where you could dive.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> the park is in the municipality of Donnas, there you have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Torrente+Fer\/@45.5975903,7.756124,16z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x47889684074e29c9:0x543a9013a2f1b160!8m2!3d45.5976054!4d7.7571805?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">position<\/a>\u00a0in google map.<br \/>\n<strong>Where you can go and sleep in a \u201cgreenly\u201d way:<\/strong> 15 minutes far from Donnas, in Piedmont, you will find<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/IT-torino\/bed-breakfast\/b-b-verde-musica\/BZMK9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u201cB&amp;B Verde Musica\u201d<\/a>, a pleasant place which is not so expensive. We are in one of the wildest places on the Dolomites, the <strong>karstic rocks<\/strong> that represent the valley had been dug by the Meduna river, creating lots of swimming basins that welcome anyone who wants to take and enjoy a bath in these\u00a0<strong>unspoiled waters<\/strong>. Thus, we are on the shores of <strong>Lake Garda<\/strong>, the largest lake in Italy, near <strong>Sirmione<\/strong>, in the province of Brescia. Glaciers formed this lake and dug a number of ponds into the rocks. What makes it special is not only the scenario but also the famous <strong>Grotte di Catullo<\/strong>, the rest of a splendid Roman villa that faced the lake.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> this beach can be reached either on foot from Sirmione or by boat; here you got the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/place\/45%C2%B030%2709.7%22N+10%C2%B036%2722.7%22E\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">position.<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Where you can go and sleep in a \u201cgreenly\u201d way:<\/strong>\u00a015 km from Sirmione, you can reach the<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/IT-mantova\/agriturismo\/bio-vojon\/cb36G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Bio Agriturismo Vojon<\/a>\u00a0by bus, which is located in the Garda morainic amphitheater. The presence of granite rocks stopped the river from leveling out this valley, but in some places, you will find amazing <strong>waterfalls<\/strong> and natural bathing. Every single room is characterized by the endemic smell of Sardinia. The farmhouse is not far from Posada beach and it is also in the very heart of the Natural Park f Tepilora.<\/p>\n<h2>7. We are talking about the waterfall of <strong>Venus Hair<\/strong>, where the streams lead down between mosses and ferns just before disgorging into the Bussettino river, forming these <strong>beautiful waterfalls<\/strong>. It is an area equipped with services, with a path along the torrent, a wooden footbridge, and an ancient Norman bridge. Be careful though! A lot of people prefer going to <strong>Euro pools<\/strong> rather than going to the Rimini Riviera! The ponds <strong>extend along the river<\/strong> and they are accessible to all. You will find a series of <strong>small waterfalls, pools and large stones<\/strong> where you can sunbathe. Once in Perchiule you can leave your bike, or your car and you will be ready to discover this amazing place.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> these pools are along the way that links Borgo Pace (PU) to <strong>Parchiule<\/strong>. From Sestino you can reach this shelter only on foot or with a 4&#215;4. There you will find a nice apartment and a yurt tent, they both are really simple and minimal but yet so great!<\/p>\n<h2>9. However, this time we are on a sandy beach. You will be amazed by the <strong>scenario<\/strong> that represents this area, it is characterised by mountains that fall to the water and a huge lake that will not let you spot the horizon. The beach in the picture is called <strong>Baia Azzurra<\/strong>, near <strong>Torbole<\/strong>, maybe it is the most fascinating, but you can only reach this beach by bike or walking. There are other rocky beaches or sandy beaches like <strong>Punta Sabbioni<\/strong>, it is one of the most crowded places but still with impeccable services. The city center and the Medieval village definitely worth a visit.<br \/>\n<strong>How to get there:<\/strong> you can reach this place driving the highway just up to Rovereto. Unfortunately, Lake Garda is in danger because of the overtourism in this area.<\/p>\n<h2>10. The Lombricese torrent, which appears to be kind of hidden in the narrow valley, leads down to Camaiore and just a few kilometers later it reaches the sea. Between the <strong>Candalla waterfalls<\/strong> and the rest of ancient windmills, you will detect lots of natural pools with perfect places for <strong>diving.<\/strong> Here, the water is extremely cold, so it turns out to be the perfect destination for a hot day.
