Ph via rivieradegliangeli.it<\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Slow tourism between sea and mountains<\/h2>\n<p>This corner in Calabria is special as it mixes perfectly a <strong>crystal clear sea<\/strong> and a <strong>wild<\/strong> hinterland.<\/p>\n<p>Riviera\u2019s beaches join a wonderful, <strong>natural seafront<\/strong> of 150 km, that broadens from the <em>Copanello-Caminia<\/em> promontory (Catanzaro) to <em>Capo Spartivento<\/em> (Reggio Calabria). A breathtaking coast that crosses the famous city of <em>Soverato<\/em> and leads to the <strong>ancient natural door of Magna Grecia<\/strong>, the region\u2019s most southern point.<\/p>\n<p>The harmonious contrast between white sand and blue water creates a suggestive frame for the loggerhead <strong>sea turtles<\/strong>\u2019 natural habitat, and you can also see<strong> dolphins<\/strong> and <strong>seahorses<\/strong> not far from the shore. The area of <em>Riviera e Borghi degli Angeli<\/em> pass also through the <em><strong>Serre <\/strong><\/em><strong>Regional Natural Park<\/strong>, a protected area included within the Calabrian Apennines. It extends to the slopes of <strong>Aspromonte<\/strong> and the highest peak is Monte Pecoraro (about 1400 meters). Indeed, they grow silkworms in a beautiful mulberries ground, from where it is extracted the raw silk thread to be<b> handcrafted<\/b> later.
