The Via Francigena<\/h2>\n<p>Running parallel to the Abbots&#8217; Way, there&#8217;s the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.viefrancigene.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Via Francigena<\/a><\/strong>. It once linked <strong>Great Britain<\/strong> and <strong>France<\/strong> to <strong>Rome<\/strong>, but if you&#8217;re not looking for such an extreme challenge, don&#8217;t you worry! Of the original 1800 kilometers, just 143 cross Emilia Romagna, from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/piacenza\/guide\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Piacenza<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>Pontremoli<\/strong>. The Linari&#8217;s Route<\/h2>\n<p>From <strong>Fidenza<\/strong>\u00a0to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Parma<\/strong>, towards Tuscany. The route used to be owned by Countess\u00a0<strong>Matilde di Canossa<\/strong>. The Romea Strata Route<\/h2>\n<p>Not only an Emilian trail, but an European one. The\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.romeastrata.it\/\" target=\"_blank\">Romea Strata<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Route (in this case, the stretch\u00a0named Longobarda Nonantolana)\u00a0would link middle-east European lands to Rome and it still holds this international essence.
