Everyone heard about the beaches of the Balearics, the Plaza de la Villa in Madrid, the Ramblas of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthe villages of Andalusia and about the other iconic places in Spain. But there are many other places still unknown to mass tourism and that have so much to tell: there is for example the Aran Valley, close to the Pyrenees, a place where nature and the mountains dominate over everything.<\/em><\/p>\n

Aran Valley<\/strong> is surrounded by mountains<\/strong> that are 2000 and 3000 meters high and looks like a pristine<\/strong> paradise<\/strong>, ideal for those who like to enjoy nature during the holidays. Cycle<\/strong> paths<\/strong>, ski<\/strong> slopes<\/strong>, walks in thick woods<\/strong> on the trail of wild<\/strong> animals<\/strong>, and so much more. Val d’Aran also offers a lot of culture, a rich eno-gastronomic tradition<\/strong> and many possibilities for fun and relaxation.<\/p>\n

In 2014, Aran Valley was the first mountain destination in the world to obtain the certification of sustainable<\/strong> tourism “Biosphere Destination”<\/strong> by the Institute of Responsible Tourism, a body associated with UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization. It is indeed a sustainable tourist destination, attentive to the environment and to the protection of its magnificent and incredible alpine<\/strong> landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This incredible valley of Spain is interspersed with deciduous and coniferous forests<\/strong>, vast alpine meadows<\/strong> and beautiful<\/strong> rivers<\/strong>. The landscape is also dotted with over 200 lakes<\/strong> that are able to enchant every travelers who finds themselves in front of these spectacles of nature. Many animals inhabit these places, from deer to marmots, from the majestic golden eagle to the ptarmigan.<\/p>\n

Aran Valley also boasts an incredible wildlife<\/strong> and fauna<\/strong> park<\/strong>: the Aran<\/strong> Park<\/strong>, where you can observe animals such as wolves, brown bears, lynxes, vultures or deer in a semi-free state.<\/p>\n
