One of the best is certainly the Val d&#8217;Orcia, which is also an important natural, artistic and cultural park. In 2004, Val d&#8217;Orcia, was included by <strong>UNESCO<\/strong> as <strong>world heritage landscape area<\/strong>, with the <strong>following reasons<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe <strong>Val d&#8217;Orcia<\/strong> is an exceptional example of how the landscape was redesigned in the Renaissance period to reflect the <strong>ideals of good governance<\/strong> and create an aesthetically pleasing pictures. <strong>The landscape of Val d&#8217;Orcia<\/strong> was celebrated by <strong>painters<\/strong> of the Sienese school, which flourished during the Renaissance. Going down from the country and walking about 5 minutes, you will reach the village of <strong>Voltole<\/strong>, one of the places visited by Sigerico.<\/p>\n<p>Along the next stop of the journey, perhaps the hardest and sunny part, you can meet the <strong>Ricorsi<\/strong>, an <strong>ancient pilgrims hostel<\/strong> and the ruins of the <strong>Briccole hospitable<\/strong>, another ancient shelter for travelers.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Castiglione d&#8217;Orcia<\/strong>, even if the country does not fall your original itinerary, you can reach the village with a deviation of a few kilometers, to admire the magnificent <strong>fortress of Aldebrandeschi<\/strong>, located at a point so high, to give a spectacular view over the valley.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>Castiglione d&#8217;Orcia<\/strong>, you can also stay in<a title=\"Grossola Bio Agritourism\" href=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/siena\/farm-house\/agriturismo-grossola\" target=\"_blank\"> <strong>Agriturismo Grossola<\/strong><\/a>, an old stone farmhouse dating back to the fifteenth century, situated on a hill at 400 m, overlooking one of the few unspoiled places of Tuscany.
