Hypertechnological and eco-friendly<\/strong>: it’s the MuSe<\/strong>, the Science Museum opened last month in Trento.<\/p>\n

Located inside the new district Le Albere, where the former factory Michelin has been requalified, the Science Museum of Trento, designed by<\/strong> the italian architect Renzo Piano<\/strong>, has achieved \u00a0LEED gold status for its sustanibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It’s the first italian museum to achieve the coveted LEED Gold certification<\/strong>, the entire project was marked by the environmental sustainability by incorporating several strategies in the management of the building. Fundamentals have been the choice of materials and the methods of construction, in addition to the design of transport services<\/strong> that discourage the use of private cars.<\/p>\n

The energy consumption of the building has been reduced considering the MUSE as a system for the completely renewable energy supply, taking advantage of photovoltaic, solar panels and geothermal probes<\/strong>. \u00a0The\u00a0cistern system for rainwater recovery\u00a0<\/strong>can achieve water savings five times larger than other similar buildings.<\/p>\n

\"MUSE<\/a><\/p>\n

The materials used in the interior spaces have been chosen taking into account the performance of comfort and health<\/strong>, while the openings were related with the landscape<\/strong>, also favoring the entry of natural light<\/strong>. Other key features are the optimization of the management of waste resulting from the construction, which were almost completely recycled, and the completely underground parking.<\/p>\n

A part of the exhibition inside the building will also have the important function of information about eco-efficiency, aimed at the dissemination of strategies to make buildings more sustainable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
