A few hours drive from the city there are hidden\u00a0amazing natural environments.<\/p>\n<p>To reach lovely places to admire splendid views there is no better way than to <strong>leave the car at home<\/strong>, take one of the <strong>rail lines<\/strong> leading up to the Alps and then\u00a0walking along a mountain path.<\/p>\n<p>Grab your backpack, put on\u00a0your boots and start to discover <strong>5 Alpine protected areas<\/strong>, strictly by train, bus and foot.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming weeks I&#8217;ll tell you all about my experience of trekkers and, for each of these proposals, I will give you some suggestions for an unforgettable summer that I experienced firsthand.<\/p>\n<h2>1. On foot and by train in the Triglav National Park, Slovenia<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_12051\" class=\"thumbnail alignnone\"><img class=\"wp-image-12051 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Continuum2012-3-870x490.jpg\" alt=\"Alps in Triglav National Park\" width=\"870\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Continuum2012-3-870x490.jpg 870w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Continuum2012-3-870x490-536x302.jpg 536w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Continuum2012-3-870x490-570x320.jpg 570w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Continuum2012-3-870x490-344x194.jpg 344w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><div class=\"caption\">Photo by Andrea Pasqualotto<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Within\u00a0the <strong>national symbol of<\/strong> <strong>Slovenia<\/strong>, which with its 2864 meters is the highest peak of the Julian Alps, <strong>Triglav National Park<\/strong> offers strict rocky landscapes dotted with clear lakes. The valley of the seven lakes is the most important access to the southern sector of the park, where it is not difficult to see one of the most dense colonies of <strong>ibex<\/strong>, the undisputed king of high altitudes.<\/p>\n<p>The protected area can be reached by taking the line that leads from Nova Gorica to Jesenice, a stretch of the legendary<strong> transalpine<\/strong> <strong>railway<\/strong>, built at the beginning of &#8216;900 by the Austro-Hungarian Empire to connect the port of Trieste with the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n<h2>2. An authentic\u00a0<strong>treasure<\/strong>\u00a0of <strong>biodiversity<\/strong> of international value, the Schiara group, the mountain overlooking the town of Belluno, is also home to the final stretch of the Alta Via 1 of the Dolomites.<\/p>\n<p>Going by train from Padua or Venice, in a couple of hours you can\u00a0reach the town of Belluno, from here by bus you\u00a0go into the Ardo valley, the starting point for some interesting hiking trails.<\/p>\n<h2>3. The eastern sector, from the Val di Rabbi to Val Martello, offers an incredible variety of landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Rabbi valley<\/strong> can be reached by taking the Trento-Mal\u00e9 railway line, a scenic route through the famous valleys of Non and Sole. Then you can come back in the plain by the\u00a0<strong>Vinschgau<\/strong> <strong>railway<\/strong>, successfully recovered 10 years ago and now one of the symbols of redevelopment of secondary railway lines.<\/p>\n<h2>4. The valleys that rise from Interlaken to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are unrivaled areas for\u00a0hiking enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>The Swiss rail network is the best example in the world of sustainable mobility for tourist use. One of the symbols is certainly the line leading to <strong>Jungfraujoch<\/strong> at 3454m of altitude, the highest railway station in Europe. To explore on foot the World Heritage landscape you can\u00a0just take the ring <strong>Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen-Grindelwald<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>5. The narrow valleys carved by ancient glaciers are dotted with mountain lakes, pastures and ordered farm where for centuries it continues to produce traditional dairy.<\/p>\n<p>With the <strong>Appenzell railway,<\/strong> from the city of St. Gallen you can\u00a0easily\u00a0reach\u00a0the heart of the region, the starting point to reach the beautiful Seealpsee and Faelensee, and here Alpsteinarea ridges.<\/p>\n<p>On the <strong>sunny<\/strong> <strong>slopes<\/strong> the snow is giving way to the first blooms, nature is awakening after a long winter rest, the green of the leaves is coloring the bare branches.
