It has a capacity of 300 passengers.<\/p>\n<h2>The first Hydrogen Train in the World<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Coradia iLint<\/strong>,\u00a0this is the\u00a0name of this innovative train, it came into operation last\u00a0Autumn in Germany. The manufacturer is Alstom and the train travels on the city-line <strong>Buxtehude-Bremerv\u00f6rde-Bremerhaven-Cuxhaven<\/strong>, in <strong>Lower Saxony<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11569\" src=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/1200x800-Coradia-iLint-2-870x490.jpg\" alt=\"The first zero-emissions train arrives in Germany\" width=\"870\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/1200x800-Coradia-iLint-2-870x490.jpg 870w, https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/1200x800-Coradia-iLint-2-570x320.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The iLint train is powered by huge lithium ion batteries that gets their\u00a0power from the combination of hydrogen and oxygen. In addition to <strong>not producing any CO2 emissions<\/strong> the train, which only emit steam,\u00a0is much <strong>quieter<\/strong> than the ones we are now accustomed, the only sound will be that of the wheels and the air resistance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O3bUE9uHkqM?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/ecobnb.com\/blog\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>It is a real public transport revolution, in Germany 50% of the railway network is not yet electrified (a common problem with other European countries) and with these new trains powered by hydrogen the country will be able to significantly reduce the <strong>environmental impact<\/strong> and the <strong>costs<\/strong>.
