Chefchaouen<\/strong> is a unique city in the world. Immersed in the beautiful Rif<\/strong> mountains in northern Morocco<\/strong>, welcomes you with its blue-<\/strong>painted<\/strong> houses, its gates, and its\u00a0stairs.<\/p>\n

Until the ’50s it has been unknown to tourists who could not enter because it was a\u00a0sacred places. But today, many travelers arrive in this welcoming town to admire its blue\u00a0medina<\/strong><\/em> (old city).<\/p>\n

\"Chefchaouen,<\/p>\n

The city is an architectural<\/strong> gem<\/strong>, so much to have been declared UNESCO World<\/strong> Heritage<\/strong> in 2010: the blue of the houses, chosen by the Jews who came here, is mixed with traditional Moorish<\/strong> and Andalusian architecture<\/strong> creating a city that will leave you breathless.<\/p>\n

You can walk between the stairs<\/strong> and the gardens<\/strong>, in the bustling<\/strong> medina, where there are plenty of restaurants<\/strong> to taste the typical tajine<\/strong><\/em>, go shopping<\/strong> in the shops of the main square Place A el-Hammam<\/em> and admire one of eight mosques, the Great Mosque<\/strong> (XV century) with its picturesque octagonal<\/strong> tower<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Just outside Chefchaouen you find the Talassem<\/strong>tane National<\/strong> Park<\/strong>, a wonderful place considered the best destination for trekking<\/strong> in Morocco.<\/p>\n
