9401 North Highway One - 95460 Mendocino - Mendocino - United States

Rising from the land on a windswept bluff-top overlooking the rugged Mendocino coast sits a remarkable cathedral of eco-salvaged redwood with pectacular windows frame postcard views of the pines and the surf beyond. Brewery Gulch is thi and much more

On a 3-acre sylvan hillside overlooking Smuggler's Cove and built with ancient virgin redwood timbers eco-salvaged from Big River, we offer ocean views and private decks. We invite discerning travelers to see the Inn's Craftsman-style architecture and comfortable, well-appointed rooms.

The Inn - the hear and soul of Brewery Gulch Inn, the enormous Great Room, is anchored by an iconic, four-sided glass and steel fireplace fabricated by a local shipbuilder. This gathering place is filled with light tumbling down from the central core’s three-story high skylight and flooding in from a bank of 13-foot high, redwood-trimmed French doors overlooking Smuggler’s Cove. Guests can relax in a comfortable living room seating area with overstuffed furniture in the style of Gustav Stickley. Surrounding this area are tables of quarter-sawn oak where guests sample the chef’s creations. A small library of books; an amazing 500+ DVD collection featuring classic, contemporary and foreign films; and an extensive selection of games can be found along the south wall of the Great Room. A guest computer and printer with Internet access is located on a desk across from the reception desk. A large selection of coffees and teas, along with fresh pastries and fruit, can be found on the sidebar in the Great Room.

Suites - Soothing earth tones, tasteful furnishings, and a Zen-like style and ambience connect this inn to the California coast. All of our individual guest rooms, with the exception of the Meadowview Suite, feature ocean views. All accommodations have gas fireplaces, down comforters and pillows (hypoallergenic option available), feather beds, Sferra fine linens, turndown service on request, Asprey and Molton Brown bath products, Abyss thick cotton towels, lighted makeup mirrors, Giessdorf showerheads, flat panel televisions with built-in DVD players and Direct TV, iHome clock radios, WiFi access, complimentary local and long distance calls, plush robes, fresh flowers and rich leather club chairs for relaxing by the fire.
