A delightful eco-sustainable house (with energy from renewable sources, reduction of waste and separate waste collection) and 19th century excavated in the tuff in Laterza (Taranto). La Casa nella Grotta - Mater Domini is the ideal starting point to visit the Lipu and Gravina Oasis, the rock churches, the ceramic workshops and taste the various specialties of the area.
Three double rooms are available to guests, of which the Retrò and the Fienile are adapted in typical caves where wine was produced and pets were kept.
The unchanged apartment with its original shape has a small bathroom complete with everything, air conditioners, fridge and a comfortable kitchenette.
The Bellavista room, with an independent entrance equipped with bathroom, air conditioning, fridge, is ideal for a couple and offers the possibility of a third bed.
The excellent position in which the house is located is ideal for visiting: the Sassi of Matera, Castellaneta and Ginosa Marina, Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Martina Franca, Taranto, Bari, Ostuni, and the characteristic villages of Basilicata.
An obligatory stop for local gastronomy is that of the various butchers dedicated to the art of roasting meat in the famous stone stoves.

Ottima accoglienza, molto disponibile , posto caratteristico le camere sono ubicate dentro ai caratteristici sassi, tranquillo. Pulizia eccellente. Paese comodo per Matera e per andare in spiaggia. Il b&b si presta ad ospitare famiglie con bambini. Da ritornare.
