Many have a garden, we offer a whole forest surrounded by silence

A house in the woods. 1100 hectares of trees and meadows. Ecological architecture and contemporary creativity. For a b & b definitely out of the ordinary.
And 'first it immersed in the first protected Park in Emilia Romagna, in the Regional Park of Carrega Woods, about 15 km from Parma, then the philosophy could only be eco. Designed and built to be in perfect harmony with the environment, it was carried out following the directives more consistent as Ecological heating powered in three different ways: with thermal solar panels, wood-fired boiler, condensing boiler.
The property is also covered with a coat of 10 cm, the roof is insulated with rock wool and huge windows are energy efficient, to avoid any loss of heat and therefore wasted. Even the lighting is of course energy saving.
Embraced by a forest of oak, beech, chestnut and oak, also the materials used for the furniture are the local wood and stone in South Tyrol (silver quartzite). Everything is designed to create continuity between the interior and exterior of the house as if the rooms had no walls and the house would become the natural extension of its own territory. The stone has been used both for external paving and for the large living room and kitchen "open space" which hosts cooking classes strictly natural. The large windows have no shutters, awnings and become frames of striking images that surround the house. The right orientation of the structure makes the kitchen of 80 square meters is facing south east, receiving all the light that the sun is able to offer. From here you can also access the porch perched on a hill that opens the view to a beautiful skyline of the city of Parma. In addition to stone, the main material is wood, in particular that of oak typical of the territory. The furniture has been created for the most part by the expert hands of Alexander Mora who has created several works using recycled. An example? Bathroom furniture created with old crates of wine, mirrors framed by shutters disused, a dining table made from the axes of scaffolding, a four-poster bed made of dry wood found in the forest. Among the curiosities of the most original large library made of wood and slate, because each day can be customized to a sentence read, passing an idea and the desire to communicate their own thoughts ("professional deformation" of the same owner, no accident journalist). Her husband Stephen Castelluccio, too fond of the forest, enjoy long walks reaping the fruits and berries to make local spirits as Nocino or Bargnolino.
It wanted to give a new function and aesthetics of high-level and second-hand items to production waste. No more recycling, but upcycling. Following a dictate precise not waste. How to make the most of the life-cycle of a product not only to amortize costs and pollution but also to reinterpret, improving them, the objects in disuse. From this reflection Carla Soffritti, owner of the house, and by the hands of Alexander Mora who takes them, are (re) born unique items. For room table, more than 3 meters long, were used the planks of the scaffold construction. Door of an old wardrobe today is the mirror of a bathroom. Drawers unpaired came to life becoming a library. A blackboard disused serves today as the hood of the stove. The boxes of wine become the bathroom cabinet.
Identifying a second life to discarded objects means, basically, give ourselves a second chance to enjoy them. Probably more.

Letto comodo e pulizia impeccabile. Lo consigliamo vivamente!
