Pascoli di Amaltea

  • Farm house
Località Roccabertone, 81 - 12070 Mombarcaro - Cuneo - Italy

A welcoming organic farm in Alta Langa, Cuneo, Piedmont. An ancient stone farmhouse, sheep, goats and cheeses made by us.

We are Alessandro and Arianna, we have a farm in the Belbo valley, in Mombarcaro, the highest village in the Langhe. Here in 2007 we bought an old stone farmhouse, we restructured it a little at a time: today we raise about eighty sheep and goats and make cheeses
We practice peasant farming: we follow the natural cycle of sheep and goats: we milk them from spring to autumn, as is the tradition in the Langhe.
Here you can immerse yourself in the daily life of an organic farm, with its artisan cheeses and animals. You can relax under the pergola, have a picnic in the lawn below the house, or walk and cycle along the flat and beautiful Belbo Valley.

We produce excellent raw milk cheeses, without the addition of industrial enzymes or other additives. The only ingredients are milk, rennet and salt. So you can taste or buy sheep's milk Robiola, goat's cheeses, ricotta and aged cheeses.

At guests' disposal two cozy and suggestive rooms furnished with recycled materials and old objects adapted. The old pudding molds that become chandeliers, the farmstead doors restored and colored with our hands, furniture that comes from old windows or donated by grandmothers to be brought back to life.

Breakfast is based on organic products or fair trade. Homemade cakes with seasonal fruit or jams from local farms, cheeses made by us, organic bread, coffee, tea and fair trade biscuits.

To reduce the environmental impact we carry out the linen change on request, recycling, use of bulk, organic, biodynamic, and no single-dose products, and hot water is heated with solar panels.

It has been noticed: Organic or Local Food, Energy saving lights, Ecological cleaning products.

Che meraviglia Alina! ti ringraziamo tanto tanto
un abbraccio e tornate a trovarci! Arianna e Alessandro
