Nature trail through the Vendicari reserve located in the province of Syracuse, a green area that extends from the land to the sea, creating a natural habitat for many species of birds that stop in the area during migration, the reserves near to very important cultural centers, such as Noto heart of the Sicilian Baroque, Avola and Marzamemi. The trail offers various walks and lookout points to admire the fauna, all framed by the beautiful tuna-fishing nets that rises imposing between the sea and the sky.

Riserva naturale di Vendicari

I started from the natural reserve Vendicari in the province of Siracusa and arrived to the shore of Noto, I could see the beautiful reserve that has become a place of seasonal stopover for many migratory birds crossing the Mediterranean.

Migratory birds

This natural area extends it reach the sea becoming a whole with the coast, the shore is especially charming and quiet and the sea that bathes it is colored with various shades of blue, depending on the wind and currents. Don't miss a visit to the imposing tuna-fishing nets, one of the largest and best preserved of the island.
