In Poland there is a new bike path that lights up as soon as the sun goes down; an intense blue light guide cyclists along the path, and so ride at night will not be a problem.

A bike path in Poland powered by the sun

The bike is definitely one of the most environmentally friendly means of transportation there is, and this project makes the experience on two wheels even less harmful to the environment. The bike path, designed by TPA Instytut Badań Technicznych near Lidzbark Warminski, in northern Poland, is indeed the first solar powered cycle lane that can charge by day and automatically glow at night for 10 consecutive hours.

A project that provides more safety for cyclists and  that is completely self-sufficient, able to turn an evening by bike and exciting experience. The bike path is been made with a synthetic material able to accumulate solar energy, the only energy it needs.

We look forward to seeing this type of project in our cities too!
