In the heart of the Crete Senesi, the ancient village of Serre di Rapolano has been recovered with care and attention to the environment. The original structure has kept its beauty intact thanks to a careful and conservative restoration.
The Crete Senesi offer evocative scenery along the Via Francigena: dirt roads for lovers of cycle tourism in Tuscany, parish churches, small hilltop villages, gullies, dot the panorama.
Serre di Rapolano is a small nativity scene on the hill from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. Alleys and open spaces, embellished with ancient churches, are enclosed by walls which are accessed by medieval doors. The oldest part of the town is the Grancia, an ancient fortified granary, where the B&B is located.
The rooms have private bathroom and independent entrance, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, courtesy set, minibar. Carefully furnished, they have Tuscan terracotta floors, exposed beams, large windows overlooking the characteristic roofs of the town and the surrounding countryside.

Questa bellissima struttura si trova incastonata in bellissimo borgo medioevale, l'accoglienza è stata molto calorosa , grazie alla simpaticissima e disponibilissima Yudi , che ha saputo metterci immediatamente a nostro agio.
La cosa che mi ha colpito di più , oltre alla bellezza del posto, è stata la pulizia , sia delle camere e dei sanitari, sia di tutta l'area comune, dove si svolge la colazione, la nostra Yudi ha sempre adottato tutte le misure necessarie anti Covid, indossando sempre la mascherina , e sanificando spesso le sue mani, indossando sempre i guanti mentre ci ha servito la colazione da dietro il buffet separato da un plexiglass, nonostante questa situazione, c'erano buonissime crostate e dolci fatti in casa, oltre a qualcosa di salato ( prosciutto cotto, salame e formaggi ).
Le camere sono davvero grandi e spaziose, la nostra era la stanza "Ciliegio" , grande anche il bagno, c'era uno spazio apposito per il guardaroba, e il frigo bar.
La TV in camera è solo a richiesta, ma c'era un'altro salone ad uso comune con salotto e TV , oppure da usare per semplice relax.
Riguardo il parcheggio, se non trovate posto lungo la via dell'Orlo, preseguite dritti sulla stessa strada e in fondo sulla sinistra c'e' un comodissimo parcheggio , e poi si può salire con le scale fino alla struttura.
Ringrazio ancora tantissimo Yudi per l'ospitalità e spero di tornare prestissimo, visto che la struttura si trova a soli 7 minuti di macchina dalle bellissime terme San Giovanni a Rapolano.
Per chi volesse cenare e mangiare bene spendendo il giusto, consiglio il ristorante pizzeria San Rocco a soli 5 minuti a piedi dalla struttura, abbiamo cenato come se fossimo a casa , con la tipica e calda accoglienza toscana.

Accoglienza splendida: Yudy unisce alla grande professionalità una dedizione ed un entusiasmo unici. Ho apprezzato molto la cura di ogni dettaglio in un ambiente già ricco di fascino. La struttura ha infatti una lunga storia che si può agevolmente scoprire nel Museo della Grancia e dell'olio, a due passi. Per di più, la ristrutturazione ha reso confortevoli e adeguatamente moderni i locali mantenendo l'attenzione ai materiali locali, come il travertino e la terracotta. A colazione si vive uno spirito conviviale molto piacevole, pur nel rispetto delle norme anti-Covid. Cornettini ottimi e dolcini casalinghi sempre nuovi. Atmosfera davvero rilassante!

Amadeo and team worked very hard to provide us with an exceptional stay. He organized a cooking class and dinner that was delightful (and provided the photos!). We had a wonderful large breakfast every morning with homemade pastries, fruit, eggs, yoghurt, and plenty of coffee. Our rooms/bathrooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly.
The town is charming. There are several local restaurants, of which we sampled three - one fancy (Agrituro Ischieto Ristorante), one delicious/moderate and very close (Hostaria del Benendante), and one inexpensive pizzeria (Emilio's). The first two are walking distance from the B&B. There is an ATM within walking distance.
The town is very conveniently located to many Tuscan hill towns. I believe there is a bus that runs on the main road, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to access the small towns. A car is recommended.
