At the organic farm Le Capanne you can breathe the quietness that Nature gives and you rediscover the authenticity of rural hospitality.
The Le Capanne farmhouse is immersed in the Tuscan countryside between Florence, Pisa and Siena. By staying with us you will find yourself just a few minutes by car from the most suggestive Tuscan towns such as Volterra and San Gimignano and at the same time, hidden in the hills, you will breathe the peace that Nature gives.
For almost thirty years we have been passionately managing our small family-run agritourism in the old renovated farmhouse and we are joyfully dedicated to making our impact on Nature light, in an ecological path that is created step by step. Here you will discover the authenticity of rural hospitality which, without renouncing comfort, maintains the tradition of the countryside of the past, between the vegetable garden and farmyard animals. In the farmhouse there are only three apartments (Maria, Amelia and Andreina) to guarantee a comfortable and exclusive stay. Furthermore, at guests' disposal, a common area in the heart of the farmhouse where you can read a book, watch a film or browse through the utensils of the small "peasant museum" that tell the story of life in the Tuscan countryside of the last century.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a welcome basket with organic, biodynamic products and mostly from companies in the area.
You will stay in comfortable apartments furnished with the restored furniture of the great-grandparents, with their aches and pains and their charm, equipped with bathroom linen almost exclusively in organic cotton and illuminated with LED bulbs.
Our site is hosted by a solar powered webfarm.

- ECO-LAUNDRY
Get a discount by asking us to use only biodegradable detergents to wash the laundry that you will find in your apartment. And if just a few stubborn little spots won't go away, you can still sleep peacefully knowing that the laundry is sanitized and treated with products that are good for your health and the environment, also guaranteeing you a small saving;
- SELF-MANAGED LINEN
If you love itinerant journeys and short stops but don't want to give up experiencing the hospitality of small family-run establishments, get a discount by asking us to bring your linens (sheets, pillowcases and towels). In this way, by helping to reduce the number of washes, you will make it possible for us and sustainable for the planet to host you even for just a few nights (doing laundry for just two nights is really a waste!).
The apartments, each with an independent entrance and private equipped outdoor space, are fully furnished and equipped with linen.
The Le Capanne farmhouse has an equipped swimming pool (6m x 12m). Possibility of extra beds. Barbecue. Private parking. Dirt road of about 1 km (a car is necessary to reach our farmhouse). Pets are welcome (compatibility with the other animals present in the structure is required, hens, pigeons and cats). Utilities (electricity, gas, water), linen (bed, kitchen, bathroom – changed once a week) and use of the swimming pool are included in the price. The tourist tax of 1 euro/per person over 13/per night (up to a maximum of 6 nights) is not included.
The Maria apartment can comfortably accommodate 7 people (+ possibility of 1 extra bed). It is accessed by stairs that go up from the old wood-burning oven to the covered veranda. The living area (45 m2) opens into a large equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher) with fireplace, a living room with sofas and a charming bedroom. The sleeping area consists of three bedrooms, each served by a bathroom with shower. From one of the bedrooms there is access to a small covered terrace overlooking the panorama. The apartment is completed by an equipped garden overlooking the olive trees.
The Amelia apartment can comfortably accommodate 3 people (+ possibility of 1 extra bed). The Amelia apartment, comfortably renovated for 3/4 people, is characterized by the covered veranda overlooking the evocative sunsets and the faithful fig tree that provides shade.
The apartment, accessible via stairs, consists of a large living area with equipped kitchen (oven, fridge and freezer, etc.) and living room with fireplace and sofas. The sleeping area includes two bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The apartment is completed by an equipped garden.
The Andreina apartment can comfortably accommodate 2 people (+ possibility of 1 extra bed). The Andreina apartment overlooks a large equipped terrace on the ground floor surrounded by a small private garden. It consists of a comfortable living area with built-in kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc.), fireplace, sofa and chair bed. The sleeping area includes a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

j'ai passé un merveilleux moment chez Francesca, tout était parfait et agréable, l'appartement spacieux et confortable, situé dans les collines , au milieu des oliviers, au calme....une piscine surplombant une vue magnifique sur le Chianti...nous avons été accueillis avec le sourire , des cadeaux bio, en particulier l'huile d'olive produite dans la propriété !
Pour les randonneurs ( même les randonneurs du dimanche!) ,il y a de nombreux chemins à explorer, notamment celui qui mène à un village abandonné, plein de charme...et , bien sûr, le capanne est situé de façon idéale pour visiter San Giminiano, Voltera, Pise,Florence....
