A bed and breakfast environmentally sustainable in the rolling hills of the Valley of the Tronto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, one kilometer from the village of Castorano with its magnificent castle and the charming old town.
The property offers panoramic views of the Marche countryside, a breakfast buffet and home-made rooms all with balcony and free Wi-Fi. Rooms at the Earthsea feature all modern amenities, parquet floors, satellite TV and fully equipped private bathroom. At breakfast you can enjoy freshly baked cakes, cold cuts, cheeses and fresh fruits can be enjoyed on the garden terrace when the weather permits.
The rooms are equipped with private bathroom, free wi-fi, TV and air conditioning. Guests have a large garden and a kitchen on the third floor of the house.
The three rooms at the bed and breakfast is located on the second floor of the house and have independent access.
The breakfast room Breakfast is on the third floor and offers a magnificent view on the rolling hills of Piceno.
In the rich breakfast, prepared with love from Mom Patrizia and my sister Jessica, you can enjoy delicious homemade cakes and pies, made with organic ingredients and kmo, such as eggs of our hen house and homemade jams.
Depending on the season, we also offer the typical products of our territory such as salami, ham, coppa, all prepared and seasoned by my father Nicola. But also olive oil, homemade, seasonal fruit (harvest from our garden), local honey.
The b & b Terramare make every effort to minimize its impact on the environment, avoiding waste of water and electricity, and using local produce for breakfast.
Our actions are sustainable:
WASTE
In addition to recycle materials such as paper, glass, cans, plastic, batteries from our family, we do the same thing emptying the baskets placed in the rooms used by guests.
We do not buy the bottled water, but we buy directly from the source with a consequent reduction of waste and use of plastic is highly polluting.
WATER
Use of flow reducers and jet breaker in all faucets and showers of the house; installation of toilet cisterns washdown with manual stop; reduction of the capacity of the same.
The garden irrigation takes place with tank rainwater harvesting without using municipal water.
ENERGY
In the roof it has been installed a solar termino for heating water which saves on the use of methane for the boiler. In all the rooms of the B & B in our house are used only bulbs with low energy consumption. All the walls of the house are equipped with thermal coat that allows no loss of heat and especially keeps the house warm in winter and cool in summer.
POWER
At breakfast we offer natural products, many of which are prepared by us such as: jam with fruits of our plants which do not administer ever pesticides or other chemicals; honey that you find on our table comes from a farmer beekeeper; among the ingredients of the pies and cakes that we offer are the eggs of hens of our henhouse. We also produce and stagioniamo some traditional local products such as ham, loin that, at certain times of the year, we offer our guests.
Well aware that the actions taken are a small fraction of those available, we plan to implement additional solutions over time in keeping with the growth of our structure.
